RRY Publications LLC and Orthopedics This Week invites all inventors, companies and engineers who are creating the next generation of innovative and successful products to improve spine care to submit their best ideas to the 2019 Spine Technology Award committee. The Spine Technology Awards recognize the best new spine technologies, engineering teams and inventors for 2019 and, in the process, reward excellence in innovation.
The Spine Technology Awards are intended to bring increased recognition to exemplary and innovative spine surgery products and the engineering teams and inventors who create them.
Judging will be based on originality, clinical relevance and likelihood that this technology can improve current standards of care. The Spine Technology Award panel includes leading surgeons with clinical and research experience in robotics, cervical care, thoracolumbar care, motion preservation, minimally invasive spine care, biomaterials and biologics, and venture capitalists with extensive experience nurturing spine technologies to market. The deadline for submission of entries is August 9, 2019. The winning entries will be announced at the 34th annual meeting of the North American Spine Society in Chicago, September 25-28, 2019.
Said Orthopedics This Week founder Robin Young, “Patients, physicians, hospitals, and reimbursers rely on the inspiration and perspiration of engineers and surgeon-inventors to improve outcomes and to control costs. Most engineers and inventors are little known, so we are proud to provide awards and a venue to recognize their great talents and contributions.”
Who May Enter:
Inventors (and companies) who’ve developed a new product which may improve patient outcomes from spine surgery may enter this contest.
